High Scoring night in the NHL equates to high scores in the AHL

The first game of the night featured 2 of the cellar dweller teams, one a surprise and one not so much. with a 3.5 to 2.5 victory, the Sting get within 3 points of a playoff spot and are unbeaten in 3. The Hackers on the other hand have now lost 4 straight.

The Dutchies put up a good fight, but at the end of the day, the Oles balanced attack lead by recently aquired John Carlson (1,2) took this match 6.5 to 4. Oles have won 3 straight and move into a tie for second.

The Idiots luckily got their 3rd choice in temp goalies (both CAR and VAN now owned), which coupled with Nashville's -4.5 score on the night gave them a 4.5 to 2 win over the Witch Doctors. The Docs must have been a little hung over after the big birthday party. Idiots get their record to .500 and now look to continue to climb up the standings. Idiots were lead by Kuznetsov's 3 assists, and the WD's made it interesting late in the evening with both Hertl and Stall putting up 1,2.

Lead by MacKinnon and his 1,3 the Posse took out the Wai's Guys 6 to 2.5. Lots of goals by the Posse squad last night as they attempt to once again force their way into the AHL final. Good effort by the Wai's guys, but on this night of goals galore, it just wasn't enough.

I told both the Hart Foundation and V Bombers that the Bombers were going to win tonight, even if I had to abuse my power as the score keeper. Unfortunately, even my advanced math skills couldn't help the last place bombers as I almost ran out of fingers trying to count up the Hart's score. Final in this one was 9.5 to 2.5, and Hart take both high boy honors and sole position of 1st place.

Finally, in a tight matchup, the Killer B's and Belfast Flash faced off with only a few points separating them in the playoff picture. The Flash had the game almost wrapped up until Hanifan went off for 1,2 for the B's. Final in this one was 3-2 for the Killer B's moving them within a point of the Flash in the playoff picture.
