Game 21 Scores

Saturday night's alright for fighting, and there were some all out brawls tonight.
The first game featured a battle of the buddies, as the Hackers and Killer B's faced off, in what is usually a Tuesday night affair. In the highest scoring match of the night, both teams brought their A game. The Hackers put up a massive 4 that would have beaten all but 3 of the teams in the AHL, but unfortunately for them the KB's were high boy this evening and thanks to scoring from 8 of 10 roster players took the game 6-4. Hackers have now lost 5 straight, while the B's move into a 5th place tie.
The next game was the main event of the evening with 2 juggernauts facing off. First vs second, with the Oles trying to move into a first place tie with the Hart Foundation. The battle did not disappoint, as both teams traded blows leaving both GM's bloodied and bruised. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Defense wins championships, and that was the difference tonight. Both Makar and Weber sniped 2 goals for the boys in pink unitards, and the Hart Foundation take a finals caliber match 5-3.
The Witch Doctors were so busy planning their year end championship victory party that they forgot to show up for the game! Couldn't have come at a better time for the under achieving Dutchies, as they needed the guaranteed victory. The coach was heard yelling before the game "just don't put up a negative score"!!!. Dutchies put up a 3 and take the victory. Had the WD's gotten their line up in on time, they would have won the match 3.5 to 3. Dutchies breathe a sigh of relief and hope that this is a sign that the ship is finally righting itself.
Another high profile matchup, as 2 of only 3 teams to win multiple championships in the new Era AHL were facing off against each other. The Idiots have been heating up as of late and the Posse have remained consistent all year long. It wasn't the barn burner that was expected, as both teams were on the lower end of the totem pole when it comes to scores last night, but in the end the Idiots pulled off a 2-0 victory on the backs of 1,1 from both Bar-down and the Cocaine King.
The Sting have been on a role lately, and were looking to extend their unbeaten streak to 4 games. They were up against a determined VB team who tripped over the blue line in warm up and were never able to recover from the embarrassment. They spent all night trying to comeback from the -2.5 put up by their goalies, and at the end of the night the Sting had a fairly easy victory finishing the game off 4.5 - 0.
Finally, in a battle for positioning, the Flash and Wai's Guys both took the ice determined to re position themselves in the playoff hierarchy. This was a real life playoff type atmosphere, with great goal-tending, low scoring (3 Flash got on the board and only 2 of Wai's guys). When the dust settled, the Flash raised their stick in victory 2 to 0.5. Flash move into sole possession of 4th place, while Wai is hanging on precariously to the final playoff spot, just one point up on both the Sting and Dutchies.
Dynamic Duo 3 stars of the night:
Makar / Weber - 2 goals apiece to earn the victory over the Oles
Kuznetsov / Barzal - 1,1 each - Idiots would have lost and posted a negative score without them
Witch Doctors / Party - Dutchies needed a break and the Witch Doctors and their party before play attitude did just that for them.
