Game 14 Scores

Is Jake the Snake secretly a part of this pool?  It sure as hell seems as though he is cause for a Saturday night, several teams appeared to be snake bitten!

In game 1, the Hackers and Posse were neck and neck even with Colorado putting up a -2.5 for the Posse.  Luckily for the Posse, Josi showed up and carried them to victory. Posse win a close one 2 to 1.5

In another nail biter, with another -2.5 from their goalies, the surging Oles looked like they were poised to lose their first one in a while, especially having drawn the struggling Doctors.  Luckily, Oles were able to overcome the -2.5 and stay in it. This one ended in a tie and because neither team had a player who could muster more than a single point, it ends in a 2-2 draw.

In a return to their form, the Bombers are back at bombing again (the term village bicycle comes to mind .  The lucky beneficiary this time was the Flash who although were able to muster a respectable 2.5, only really needed to maintain a 0 or better to win.  Flash beat the Bombers 2.5 to -0.5.

Hot off their loss in the Stinger size competition, the Sting came into this one red hot under the collar.  It felt like he was getting goal contributions from his whole team, but that didn’t scare Wai’s Guys in the slightest. This was an old school, toe-to-toe slugfest and the score showed it! In the end, the Sting reminded the league why they’re one of the favourites taking the High Boy honours and winning 6 to 4.5.

Before their game, you could hear the Killer B’s telling the Dutchies to ‘assume the position’.  I’m not sure what was implied, but as they were complying, the Dutchies pull a pair of brass knucks out of their tights and clock the B’s square between the eyes. Another high scoring affair, the Dutchies reach up from the basement of the league and bitch slap the B’s with a surprising 5.5 to 4 victory!  Heinekens for all!

Ironically, in the game that most were expecting the scores to be high and mighty, with two of the league heavy weights locking horns, the game between the Foundation and Idiots went off without so much as a whimper.  It was a bit of a stinker, but the Foundation manage to squeeze one out and eek by the Idiots winning 2 to 1.  This season series is tied a 1 game apiece ladies and gents!
