SF Game 5 Scores

The fat lady has begun to sing and dreams have been flushed down the toilet (for this season at least). Also, one series is reaffirming that less is sometimes more and even though goaltending can be solid throughout the regular season, of course, the only time it really matters is in the playoffs.

Could Game 5 mark the beginning of the end in both series? We shall see!

Oles Vs. Hackers

This was an odd game in that even though the Hackers’ team had their backs up against the wall, it didn’t seem like that was enough motivation for their players to play desperate.
It wasn’t like the Oles played any better, but they were already sitting pretty up 3 games to 1 so a bit of complacency could explain their performance.

Both sides only saw 3 of their 10 players contribute to the scoresheet. Luckily for the mighty Oles, their 3 scorers had more points than the 3 Hackers and pushed them to become the first contestants in the Toilet Bowl Series. Oles win the game 3.5 to 3.

The Hackers had a very respectful season and will head back to the drawing board in the hopes of making a few tweaks in an effort to repeat their regular season success and have a healthy, deep playoff run in 2019-20.

Good luck to Oles in the finals!

Witch Doctors Vs. Posse

This series has been neck and neck the whole way.

Not very often do we get to see family slug it out, sling mud in each other’s faces and wish the worst for each other’s teams, but here we are.

The Witch Doctors had some pretty spread out scoring across the board with several assists from several players. Unfortunately for them though, they didn’t have a Kucherov to put their team on their back and cross the finish line victorious.

Once again, Tampa Goalies let the Witch Doctors down and the Posse snap victory from the jaws of defeat (my apologies for this edition of the scores being so heavy on metaphors ).

The chicken blood appears to be running dry and the Posse’s voodoo doll apparently was not life-like enough to really have an effect when the Doctors stuck a pin in its heart.

The Posse take this one 3.5 to 1.5 and in doing so, push the Doctors to the brink of elimination (Perhaps it’s time for the Doctors to change their names back to the Bullies)

Disregard most of the commentary regarding Oles and Hackers!

There are still some honest people left on this planet

There is still life left in this Hackers team yet!!!

Oles notice an error and upon further inspection, I missed Zucker’s goal and it flips the results allowing the Hackers to win 4 to 3.5!

Under sudden death rules, the series MUST continue!!!
