Game 48 Scores
Mon Jan 07, 2019 2:38 pm
Well all, it's been a slice, but this marks the end of my run as scorekeeper. We've had some laughs, some tears, streaks started and broken, but in the end, we must part ways. Don't worry, it's not you, it's me.
And to commemorate the end, here is break up version of the scores for game 48.
The Idiots / Hart relationship was doomed to fail from the start. Neither manager put in much effort, and it really was kinda pathetic. There was a lack of spark, from the terrible goalies, to the lack of any real physical offense (which made it awkward in the bedroom). At the end of the day, the Hart finally decided to end it and took it 1 to 0.5.
Next up, the toxic relationship. Another relationship that was never going to work. All they did was fight and bicker. Both sides were at fault, but neither would give up.....they both dragged it out so long that it went into overtime. Posse get the last laugh and the big screen TV winning in OT 2-2 with Faulk's 1,1 beating all the Killer B's single point players and wasting an Edmonton shut out. Let's hope they can still be friends.
Physical abuse and non stop whinning was the reason for the next broken relationship. The Oles constantly manhandled the poor cowering Dutchies throughout the night, while complaining the whole time that they were in fact being the ones that were being abused (in trades that is). This was definitely a one sided marriage, and the Dutchies are happy to be out as the Oles manhandle them 4 to 0.5
The Flash are known around the AHL as the most offensive team in the league. But on this night the short stacked Sting decided to finally put up a fight and surprised them by kicking him out of their flat. Flash came home to find all his belongings scattered on the front lawn, with the final score of 4 to 3.5 spray painted on the side of his Trans Am. It's gonna take a while for him to get over this one......
The Bully's have been getting hurt a lot this season, and have had extremely bad luck when it comes to love. Teams have been taking advantage of his "lack of fire power", and let's not forget the incident with his wife and Santa Claus.......but last night, he lived up to his name and took out a seasons worth of aggression on the poor Wais Guys. The Guys put up a fight, and had a strong defense against the potent attack, but at the end of the night it was too much. Bully's take it 3 to 2 and leave the relationship finally thinking positive thoughts.
Finally, the big man and the little man. Standings wise, the little man was the big man. But tonight, the big man was the big man. (That might be a little tough to follow). Too many heavy hits by the Hackers, and thanks to them getting their line up in first, temp goalies were the difference. This relationship ended amicably, but unfortunately for the V Bee's, they were crushed in a giant good bye bear hug by the Hackers 3.5 to 2.
Key Notes:
Bomber's hold on first is only a slim 1 point
Hackers and Posse continue to move and have an eye on first
Oles, Wais Guys and Flash keep jockeying for position - who's gonna take 4th??
Bullys are trying to solidify 7th
Looks like the Sting might give the Idiots a run for 8th
Dutchies, Hart and Killer B's just want the season to be over.
Don't forget.........Trade deadline is 4pm on Tuesday!!!!! Time to fine tune those playoff rosters, and give the Dutchies all your cash and top prospects!!!
Posse take over the scoring next. It's been a slice boys!
