SF Game 4 Scores
Wed Mar 13, 2019 10:29 pm
Game 4 was another game night short on games, but perhaps one of the highest collective scoring in the history of the AHL Semi Finals!
If this game night were to be compared to my least favourite genre of movies, it would definitely be akin to being a Western; a shootout that saw the last team shooting being victorious.
The scales are starting to tip as the series continue to build to their climaxes!
Without further ado…..
3 Stars:
1) Gaudreau 3G, 3A
2) Monahan 1G, 3A
3) Marchand 2G, 1A
Oles Vs. Hackers
The Hack attack was back! ‘Was’ being the operative word until Monahan went off for the Oles with his second star performance (prior to this game, there was a segment on Sportsnet discussing the Flames’ stars long slump. Seems to never fail that the Sportsnet peeps jinx the streak and become the main reason for the slump being broken; you’re welcome Monsieur Ole!) .
Scoring was fairly balanced on both sides on this evening even though neither lineup was particularly star studded.
The Oles team had contributions from 70% of his team whereas the Hackers had contributions from 60%. This baby was a shootout that almost came down to the wire.
Final score in this high scoring affair was 6-4 for the Oles. The Oles inch ever so close to another Finals birth, while the Hackers stare down becoming the first contestant in the Toilet Bowl
Oles Lead series 3-1
Witch Doctors Vs. Posse
After game 3, the Witch Doctors were back in form sacrificing lambs and thanking their Gods for the well earned victory certain that Game 4 would see similar results.
The doctors thought this game was all but over when the Captain of their Pigmy Brigade ie: Johnny Hockey pumped the Devils for 3 Goals and 3 Assists.
Unfortunately, for the Doctors though, they forgot to pray for goaltending which ultimately lead to the Doctor’s undoing. In another high scoring affair, with the Stars posting a solid shut out, the Posse squeak by the Doctors to even this series winning 6.5 to 5.5
Series Tied 2-2
