Game 9 Scores
Fri Oct 18, 2019 4:23 pm
Coming to you from deep in the bowels of the Hart Dungeon, the Foundation’s back in front of the controls and ready to break hearts and jaws
Game 9 saw some relatively close games, but with some lackluster lineups, scoring in general was pretty low or AHL standards
Without further ado, here are the results from last night’s games:
3 Stars:
1) Pastrnak Bos 2 G, 1 A
2) Bergeron 1 G, 1 A
3) Bailey 1G, 1A
In the first battle of the not so giants, the Posse gang up on Wai’s Guys for a swift, but effective little beating. Wai shows up to the fight short 1 D and a forward in his lineup who was out with an injury, making this one a stroll in the park for the Posse. Posse win 1.5-0.5
In another snore-fest, the object of the game was to stay in positive figures. All it took for the Hackers to overcome the Sting was a lone assist from one of his players and a shutout from his precious Habs. Hackers stay awake the longest and win this one 0.5 to Sting’s -1
Although lower scoring, the Game between the Foundation and the V Bombers (how can he still be called this with 1 kid and another on the way?!?) came right down to the wire. Scoring was back and forth, but ultimately, the unlikely hero was Bailey with his 1G and 1A. Bombers pull one out of their stink hole and win 3.5 to 3.
Unfortunately for the flying Dutchmen, they drew the highboy and hottest team in the AHL right now. After making a blockbuster trade that showed the rest of his team that they’re in it to win it this year, the Oles steamroll over and effectively shatter the wooden clogs winning (in a convincing fashion) 6.5 to 2.5
In the Battle of the B’s; that is Belfast Flash and Killer B’s, The Killer B defensemen carry his somewhat shoddy forward lineup (on this night anyways) to glory with contributions from each of the four. The Flash face a similar deficiency in production from his forwards, but unfortunately for him, his D did not show up to save the day. Killer B’s win this tussle 3 to 1.5
In the battle of one of the favourites vs. one of the surprises, the Idiots were unable to overcome the nasty -2.5 from their NYR goalies. The Witch Doctors however, get great scoring from their big guns and blast the Idiots into game 10. The Witch Doctors work their voodoo, slit a chickens throat and end up with the dark victory winning 4 to 2.
Standings to follow.
